Here at Foxhope we offer a residential training package tailored to your dog and what you would like to achieve as every dog is different and so should their training program. We have 2 secure outdoor dog runs for dogs and bitches to ensure dogs have enough space to have their own time as well as extensive training grounds. Our kennels are fully insulated with a secure indoor area to maintain security. Residential gundog training gives me the opportunity to train your dogs using an intensive specialised training programme. Dogs are trained using multiple short sessions each day starting with group walks, group training then a 1-2-1 training, focusing on specific areas for improvement.
Residential Gundog Training includes essential groundwork and discipline, These include sit and stay, whistle work, retrieval, marking and hunting, ensuring your dog is trained to the level you require. The training ground and equipment I have on offer enable me to simulate a shoot day with no additional helpers, fully equipped with a 4 arm dummy launcher from RRT used in many field trial and test demonstrations and mock picking up days, (great to increase a dogs steadiness) blank firing pistol, rabbit pen, free range chickens to increase steadiness, water work and a fully equipped dog box for any transport needs.
By working with dogs in this intensive way, I am able to provide positive training techniques that owners can carry on at home easily. I can also correct any behavioural problems early, saving you time in the long run. After residential gundog training, I will spend time with you and your dog in 1-2-1 sessions to ensure continuity and to reinforce what the dog was trained for whilst in training with us. If you have travelled some distance for your residential training, I am able to offer a virtual package using zoom. I am also always on hand to discuss any issues or concerns that may arise between lessons using videoing techniques.
Virtual training has become very popular over lockdown and is there to fit in with your busy life style where you don't have to worry about beating rush hour to get home and get ready to go training this way of learning is done all by zoom sessions weekly and videoing your own progress. This also enables you to look back and see things that you might have missed. We discuss videos together and chat about areas that can be improved.

We cater for everything from general obedience to serious Gundogs level, sometime introducing Gundogs training to our pet can help with may issues that you might experience in the home environment from chewing to poor recall.
We work on pressure free training, we work as a team we do not force the dog to do anything. Their failure is your failure but their success is our success. Every dog is different and training plans are tailored to you and your dog as individuals as no one dog is the same. We work out what makes your dog tick and if one thing doesn't work, its not a failure it is a chance to mix it up and work with the you as a team, this is how to we like to help the dog and the owner achieve success.
